No, the Snowball Charity Challenge is a program powered by SparkRise which is a for-profit company that helps build, run, and promote campaigns which greatly benefit charities.
SparkRise does not take a fee out of the money which goes to charities. Businesses pay SparkRise a fee for building, running, tracking, promoting and facilitating the campaign itself. The fee for this is 8% of the donation amount.
The Snowball Charity Challenge campaign interacts with brands, causes, influencers, media companies, and others to help build, facilitate, and spread awareness about the campaign and those participating in it.
Neither SparkRise, nor the Snowball Charity Challenge campaign itself, solicits funds for charities. We work with brands to track campaign performance, help promote the campaign to increase its performance, help bring awareness to the brands' support of causes, and help connect great brands, causes, and influencers.
Once a company submits their pledge information, you will receive an “invoice” with directions on how to send the funds. Additionally, a SparkRise representative will reach out to see if you have any questions or need help in any way. If you don’t hear from us within 48hrs, please feel free to shoot us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
